Description

Bring the authentic culinary heritage of the Mediterranean to your table with Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc Tomato Gourmet Finishing Salt. Hand-harvested in Mallorca, Spain, this premium tomato sea salt blends unrefined fleur de sel with traditional local ingredients to create an exceptional artisan finishing salt perfect for elevating everyday dishes.

Its unique recipe combines three traditional Majorcan ingredients:

  • Ramallet Tomato: A famous, local striped tomato variety picked before it is fully ripe. They are traditionally tied in bunches and hung in cool, dark, well-ventilated spaces to slowly complete their ripening, resulting in a rich, concentrated tomato flavor with less water content.
  • Sea Fennel (Crithmum maritimum): A fragile, rare, and highly precious coastal plant that grows off the cliffs of the Balearic Islands. Its fleshy leaves are traditionally preserved in vinegar and salt to capture their distinct, aromatic structure.
  • Natural Flor de Sal: Pure, mineral-rich sea salt crystals scraped by hand from the surface of the salt pans under the Mallorcan sun. This savory, aromatic combination instantly brings the flavor of Spain to your kitchen.

It is spectacular when used for authentic Pa Amb Oli (traditional Majorcan bread scrubbed with fresh tomatoes and drizzled with olive oil) or sprinkled over Trempó (a classic Mediterranean summer salad of ripe tomatoes, crisp peppers, and onions).
