Shipping Policy
Le Gourmet Central is committed and dedicated to getting your order safely to your destination as promptly as possible.
SHIPPING METHODS & ESTIMATED TIME
We generally aim to ship in-stock items within approximately 48 business hours of receiving your order. Please consider this turnaround time when placing your order. If you need it to arrive by a specific day, please write this in the notes or contact us.
The majority of our orders are shipped via UPS, Fedex and USPS. That means that in-stock items will arrive on your doorstep within two to seven business days after receiving your order. This allows the time it takes for us to handcraft your order, and ship it from our warehouse via the shipping service established.
Weekends and holidays are not business days and cannot be used to estimate the arrival date. Ground shipping is NOT guaranteed for a certain date, therefore, there will be no refunds for early or late arrivals. We are not responsible for any delivery delays due to third parties or carriers. This includes, without limitation, delays caused by weather events, natural disasters, carrier disruptions, labor shortages, customs processing, transportation interruptions, or other events beyond our reasonable control. Orders are usually processed within two business days after we receive them.
Perishable foods
Available shipping options are determined by the perishability of the product/s in your order, and it's calculated at checkout. Perishable foods require 1-2 day shipping to help preserve product quality during transit. Please note that in order to avoid weekend transit, orders placed after 11AM PT / 2PM ET on Tuesday with 2-Day shipping, will ship on Monday of the following week.
We reserve the right to delay shipment of perishable items during periods of extreme weather, carrier disruption, or other conditions that may compromise product quality or safe delivery.
Please note: We do not ship perishables to PO BOX.
Non-Perishable foods
Non-perishable items are shipped via UPS or Fedex Ground. You are welcome to upgrade to expedite shipping at checkout.
Combined packages of perishable and non-perishable items
Orders containing both perishable and non-perishable items may be shipped using expedited shipping methods in order to help preserve product quality during transit.
Note: Ground shipping does not guarantee the date of delivery. Therefore, Late arrivals caused by carrier delays or circumstances outside our control may not qualify for refunds or claims. If you require your order to arrive on a specific date, we suggest you choose the Next Day Air method and then pick the delivery date you prefer.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES
- US Contiguous -
Orders will be shipped via UPS, Fedex or USPS to the contiguous 48 states.
Shipping costs vary depending on the products perishability, weight and size, destination and chosen shipping rate:
- Orders with non-perishables (dry goods):
Shipping rates are generally offered at the following flat-rate pricing levels of $12.90 for US48, except for US West Coast and Florida.
Heavy products and orders (>5lb) will be charged an additional charge in excess of the first 5lb.
- Orders with perishable items (charcuterie, squid ink, cheese, etc...):
2-Day shipping is required in order to meet top quality standard. Shipping cost is a flat rate of $19.90.
- For each heavy refrigerated item or heavy order (2 lb+) with refrigerated storage type there is an ice to product weight ratio of 1 : 0.75.
Please note: We offer Complimentary fast shipping on $329+ orders with any perishables inside.
- Puerto Rico & US. Virgin Islands -
We offer a flat rate of $25.90 with USPS Priority, including perishables and non-perishables.
- Alaska & Hawaii -
We offer a flat rate of $29.90 with USPS Priority, including perishables and non-perishables.
- Florida residents -
We offer an exclusive flat rate of $9.99 with USPS Priority / UPS Ground 1-day including non-perishable items.
International (Canada)
The majority of our orders are shipped via UPS and Fedex International Ground.
Shipping costs vary depending on the weight and size, destination and chosen shipping rate, and are calculated using the most affordable method calculation. International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import restrictions, or other charges imposed by destination authorities.
You're welcome to upgrade your shipping using expedite shipping at checkout.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- We do not charge a handling or box extra-charge on any order.
- If you need to receive your order before the regular delivery term or want to add "Signature Confirmation", please email us at orders@legourmetcentral.com. We will offer you the best custom solution.
- We reserve the right to make changes to the shipping fees at any time. In the event an adjustment is necessary, you will be contacted for approval prior to shipping the package or making any changes.
DELIVERY WINDOWS AND CARRIER DELAYS
Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. Carrier delays, weather events, and other circumstances outside our control may affect transit times.
Reporting shipping-related issues (required timeframes)
To help us resolve issues quickly, you must notify us within the following timeframes from the carrier’s marked delivery time:
- Perishable and temperature-sensitive items (including but not limited to butter, caviar, meats, and cheeses): contact us within 4 hours of delivery.
- All other items: contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Photos of (1) the item(s), (2) internal packaging, (3) external box, and (4) the shipping label. Failure to provide adequate documentation may result in denial of the claim.
Failure to report within these timeframes, or failure to provide the requested documentation, may limit or prevent our ability to offer a replacement or refund.
Incorrect address, missed delivery, or refusal
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and ensuring the package can be received on the first delivery attempt. We are not responsible for loss, spoilage, or quality degradation due to incorrect addresses, missed delivery attempts, refusal of delivery, or packages left unattended.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to the customer upon carrier delivery confirmation.
We are not responsible for orders shipped to addresses provided incorrectly by the customer.
