Ingredients for the vegetarian

Ingredients for the salmon

  • 100g / 3.5 ounces smoked salmon
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 TBS salted capers
  • 250g/8.8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • Salt and pepper
  • Edible flowers and fresh herbs

Ingredients for the meat

Instructions for the crostini bases

  1. Cut the baguette (at a slight angle) into slices.
  2. Brush the rounds with olive oil, on both sides. Toast the round in the oven, turning once, until they are crisp and golden. Cool on a wire wrack. These can be stored in airtight containers for up to a month.
  3. Bake directly on the rack at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Instructions for the vegetarian

  1. Spread the pesto onto the crostini.
  2. Quarter or halve the tomatoes and season them with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. Layer torn burrata cheese and tomatoes onto the crostini and garnish with the little basil leaves and dried herbs.

Instructions for the salmon

  1. Cut tiny slices or triangles from the lemon.
  2. Whip your cream cheese with a manual or electric whisk. Squeeze in a little fresh lemon juice and season the cream with salt and pepper.
  3. Make little roses with your pieces of salmon.
  4. Spread or pipe your cream cheese onto the crostini. Top the cream cheese with salmon roses, capers, and garnishes—season with a little more black pepper and lemon piece.

Instructions for the meat

1. Cut tiny slices or triangles from the figs.

2. Make little roses with your ham slices.

3. Arrange the ham roses, blackberries, and figs onto the cream cheese.

4. Season and garnish.

Tip:

Prepare all the individual elements in advance – make up the salmon and ham roses, slices the fruits and veggies and have your little garnishes picked and ready.
